  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

Is it true? Did they make the best music in the 80s, no synthesizers no retakes or dubbing.
Lipsink my dick we really sang then!

Yes sure, there were plenty retakes but they didn't auto tune then or have the computer fix it. The mistakes and off key cords got burned into the LPs for better or worse

Best music came from the 70's and deteriorated into the 80's.

Like one artist negates the entire decade of the 70s... lol

I'll see your Christopher Cross and I'll raise you at least ten 80's 'artists':

      Soft Cell
      Debbie Gibson
      Tiffany
      Milly Vanilly
      Flock of Seagulls
      Air Supply
      Asia
      Rick Astley
      Taco
      Chris de Burgh

I mostly agree but I really did like Asia. Some I've never heard of (Soft Cell, Taco, Chris de Burgh).

For all the star power in Asia, it was extraordinarily un-special - but they are better than the others...

Soft Cell: Tainted Love, Sex Dwarf
Taco - Puttin' on the Ritz
Chris de Burgh - Lady in red

Agree! I really did like Asia. They opened a 'portal' for me into the 60s and 70s. But, probably much of that talent was lost in 1980s 'pop' music marketing of its time, yet their composite talent from ELP, Yes, and King Crimson was powerful, bands that I never would have heard of if it wasn't for Asia.

    The 80s:

    Plenty of dubbing
    Plenty of retakes
    Plenty of synthesizers

I like most 80s music, but let's be real about it.

I look back on both the 80s and 90s quite fondly music wise. Yet, I have watched shows on MTV Classic dedicated to both eras and find much of the music played sucks. Personally, I have carved out niches in both eras, mostly related to rock.

Actually, the 80's was defined by the use of the synthesizer (hence, synth pop). And retakes? Ha, the eighties of retakes and overdubs. It was also the rise of the drum machine where everything is mechanical.

There is a lot of good music from the eighties, but there is also a lot of crap!

Really? The whole "New Wave" era was synthesizers and dubbing.
MTV was the worst thing to happen to music. It made what you looked like and how well you could dance while lip synching, more important than the music.
