Actually, all of us originally start out life as female in the womb, and the male penis is in fact a clitoris! (that's not a joke by the way, but a medical fact)

I use a different technique with a similar intent, which is, after some gentle licking, to press my head further in, and literally suck the entire clitoris into my mouth. This has the added benefits of keeping the hood away from the clitoris, and allowing free roaming of my tongue. Plus the sucking and very gentle nibbling, in tandem with the licking, does cause some... explosive reactions!

Another useful skill, is to pull the hood back and actually grip the clit between finger and thumb at it's base. Gripping it quite tightly (not enough to hurt, obviously, unless she likes that ) and cutting off the blood supply, for about... 5-10 seconds (it cane be longer, it varies with the woman and her mood). Then release, and wait a few seconds... then begin licking or stroking... the rush of blood to the clit heightens sensitivity, and really adds to her arousal.
