i was just wodering if there was any drifters on this forum because i think drifting is hott and plus being a girl drifter my self its fun to be around the same crowd also rolling around in my ae86 :mrgreen:

Yes... there's nothing I love more than taking my car around a corner at blinding speeds and allowing it to fishtail out of control... what a blast.

hey it takes skill and if you dont have it you can sit and relax some where of course its not for everyone but it is for me so sarcasm isnt needed

 

I love it, but have nothing to run.. raced sports cars for years, (road racing) before that we did the solo 1 thing (autocross) on parking lots.. that was close to drifting at times.. but those that drove that way back then (60's) always lost. Drifting has come of age.

Not since I quit drinking alcohol, and that was a long time before that kind of driving became a sport.

 

And here was me thinking that drifting was a more relaxed version of swinging, but I was embaressed to ask!

 

Ok well each to there own. Never knew that people were specifically into driving cars around corners! And there's a name for it too! Wow!

 

There's a niche for any sort of weird interest out there. PinkPanda, forgive the sarcasm, I actually think drifting is pretty cool, but I don't have the guts to send my poor little stock Honda Civic hurtling 'round a corner, tires all screechy, etc. I'd be too afraid of dying horribly.

 

lol its cool to be honest you cant even drift a civic a bare minimum you would need is a rwd with at least a factory lsd to get sideways but honestly it is a exspensive sport and it is dangerous and i respect what you have to say because honestly it really is quite stupid but its so much fun

 

I totally thought she meant a drifter too... and I saw Fast and Furious Tokyo.

 

ok thats tokyo drift was a stupid movie it just made us drifters look like a bunch of idiots doing it on the main roads the best place to do it is on a track or at least a closed area where no one would get hurt

lol no you cant but you can ebrake it and power slide around

 

good to know you practise "safe drifting...." sorry if i seemed a lil' blunt before. it's popular here too...only it's common on the open road as much as it is on a closed track...now that's when it gets a lil' hairy...
